What Version of Operating System or Web Browser are You Using?

To properly identify the operating system of your computer, such as Windows XP, or Mac 10.5, follow these steps

Windows Mac
  1. Open My Computer
  2. Select View System Information in the System Tasks module on the left-hand side. This will display the information.
  1. Open the Apple icon on the toolbar.
  2. Click on About this Computer

Web Browser

To properly identify the browser, such as Firefox 2.0, follow the Version Check steps above, or follow these steps:

  1. Open your browser,
  2. From the browser menu bar, select Help.
  3. Select About. If there are several, choose the one about your browser. A screen will appear that shows your browser name and version.
