Hi, welcome to my space on the WikiKB. I'm a Client Support Engineer at Blackboard and a frequent editor of the [Academic Suite Knowledgebase]. I'm currently located in Blackboard's Sydney, Australia office.

Background

I have used Blackboard since 2000, when I began administering CourseInfo 4.0 for the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.  In April 2001 I became the Bb administrator for Durham Technical Community College, also in North Carolina, and used Bb versions 5.0.2 through 6.2.  In November 2004 I began working for Blackboard in Washington DC, USA, as a Technical Support Manager and Client Support Engineer, and I moved to Australia in late 2006.

Experience/Interests

Linux, Oracle, shell scripting, other geeky stuff related to Blackboard. I am a former Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) but that just expired. I am also A+ certified and have an associate's degree in electronics.

I am originally from North Carolina, USA (GO Duke!) and am a big train fanatic (railfan). Email me if you want a link to my train picture collection.

When are you going to post some pics of Australia to this page??? Hmm?

Here's a shot of the Queen Elizabeth II (Cunard ocean liner) in Sydney's Circular Quay, with the Harbour bridge in the background (click for full size):

Jeremy!  I just got back from three months leave (travelling the globe) and return to find you've left Australia!  Whatever  took you away from your very satisfied clients, I hope it was a good move for you and that you enjoyed your time here in Oz, however short it was.

Cheers from Schelly Gardner, Southern Cross University, NSW Australia

Actually I haven't gone anywhere... still in Sydney
